Welcome to Tucson!!!!

We have a houseful now! Eli's family got here on Tuesday afternoon. Chris (Eli's girlfriend) is great! Potential best friend???? We will see! His kids have gotten so big. The last time I saw them was about 3 years ago when he still lived in Indiana. I have babysat them before.

I had to go to the eye doctor this morning and I found out that the glasses I got like 2 years ago, I didn't even need them. He did say that my eye muscles are weak and I need to do some eye exercises. I have never heard of that before. So, I guess it is back to the drawing board trying to find out what is wrong with my head. All the tests I have had have come back normal so I don't know what is wrong. Everyone is telling me that I have always not been right in the head, so I don't know.

School is going good. Cody is doing really well and has brought all his grades up to an A and two B's. WAY TO GO CODY!!!!

Lot of fun this week!

We have had a lot of fun this week! I did not have any school this week. It is crazy, they let school out for the rodeo. Can you believe that?

There is a big golf tournament here in Tucson and the law firm that I work for has a huge tent right on the 16th hole and all our big clients are in town for the tournament. We got two tickets to attend on Sunday and spend time with all the higher ups in the firm. Last weekend ago we went to my friend Dawn's 20th birthday party. We had a lot of fun and I have posted a couple of the pictures on here for everyone to look at.

Cody is still doing really good in school and has brought his grades up. He now has an A, a B, and a C.

Well I will put more when I have more to talk about.

Weird Week

Cody is doing so much better with school. I think he is finally beginning to get a grasp on what is expected of him in his English class. That has been an uphill battle. School is going good for me as well. I have my first essay due in English class on Saturday. As most of the people who know me know I am no good with this type of thing. But I was able to knock out a three page essay in about an hour. Shane will be checking it over nonetheless. Thank God!!!

Shane and I have a friend who lives in Houston, Texas who has accepted a position with Poly Print (where Shane works) and will be arriving here in Tucson on Friday. Eli is a great guy. He has been a friend to us when most people in our lives have decided that since we moved so far away that we were not important anymore. Thanks for that Eli!!!!

My nephew, Brandon, will be coming to Arizona in June and spending 3 or so weeks with us. I am so excited and so is he from the feeling I got when I talked to him on the phone. He told me that he is looking forward to it. We are going to try and plan his trip[ out here around him coming with my middle sister Pat. They will be coming out here for my other nephew Austin to tour the University of Arizona. Hopefully Austin will pick here to go to college. But he will go where God wants him to go. That is what is important. Even though we would LOVE to have him here.

The weather here has been outstanding. It has been in the mid seventies for about 6 days now. I do not miss that snow and ice and cold at all. This is the life!!!!

Well, that is it for this week. From our house to yours, may God bless and keep everyone safe and we love each and every one of you with all our hearts!!!!

What a Crazy Week

Cody has been working really hard this past week to get his homework caught up and up to date. Hopefully by the end of this week he should be on track.

Shane has been really sick still. We are going to the doctor this morning. I am afraid he has pneumonia. I hope not. He says "Thanks Mom for giving me the flu!" (lol just kidding Mom).

It was really great to see my parents this past weekend. We got to spend most of Saturday with them and then went out to breakfast on Sunday morning. Mom was feeling pretty bad on Sunday morning, then we find out on Tuesday that she definately has the flu! Yuck. Hopefully Dad won't get to sick. I spent Saturday afternoon shopping with Mom while Shane and Dad stayed at the house watching TV and hanging out with Cody.

I had my first real English class on Saturday morning. Wow is all I can say! My teacher just looks to deep that is for sure. She is a good teacher though, just real hard. I have school this afternoon. Civil Litigation class. It was cancelled last week. So hopefully we will have a good class today.

Well, that is about all the news for this week. Have a great week see you next Thursday!!!

New At Blogging

Well Pat, Congratulations!!! You got one of us here anyway. This is pretty cool! So let's see how I can do.

For those who have not seen it. The picture is of the the house where we now live in Tucson, Arizona. Shane and I came out here in August 2007 and are happier now than we have ever been. Gee, why didn't somebody tell us about the West 8 years ago???? We love it here and have no intentions of ever moving back East. We miss our family and our kids but we are very happy and content here. Cody came to stay with us on December 24, 2007!!! I picked him up at the Phoenix International Airport and cried like a baby!!! That is what I do. I am a crier. I am so happy that he is here. I cannot wait until the day when my other two children will be able to here iwth us as well.

School was cancelled today because my teacher was unavailable to teach. That was disappointing considering this was our first real class. Cody has been working really hard on his "home schooling" work. English seems to be the subject that he is having the most trouble with. But English is not my strong subject either. Thank God we have Shane in the house. He is the English expert. I am taking Writing 102. So I guess Shane is going to have two of us to help this semester.

We have all been pretty sick around here for the past week or so! Shane came home from work early today because he felt really bad. He took some thera flu and is sleeping peacefully on the couch. I know Mom has been very sick too for the past few days (and Dad), I can't wait to see them on Saturday. I know I just saw them like two or three weeks ago but it feels like it has been a month of Sundays. I am so glad that they are coming to see us.
